Privacy Policy

This plain-language policy explains what CampusMacro stores and what it deliberately leaves out of product analytics.

Effective August 28, 2026 · CampusMacro MVP

What CampusMacro does

CampusMacro helps students use published dining-hall menu and nutrition information to understand meal choices. CampusMacro is not affiliated with or endorsed by Indiana University.

Information you choose to save

If you create an account, Supabase stores your email for authentication, plus the profile information, dietary preferences, allergies, targets, and meal logs you choose to save. Demo mode keeps its temporary state in your browser until you sign in.

Dining information

CampusMacro receives published location, menu, serving-size, nutrition, dietary, allergen, and schedule information from dining data providers. That information can be incomplete, delayed, or changed by the source.

Anonymous analytics

CampusMacro creates a random anonymous analytics ID in your browser, stored separately from your account identity. We use it with limited event information such as event name, university and dining-location IDs, goal, whether filters were active, failure reason, feedback, and timestamp. We do not send your name, email, Supabase user ID, allergies, exact nutrition targets, exact meal contents, or meal history to analytics.

How data is used

Account data is used to provide sign-in, profile persistence, meal logging, and recommendations. Analytics is used to understand whether the MVP is useful and reliable. CampusMacro does not sell personal information.

Deletion and choices

You can delete your CampusMacro account from Profile. Deleting the account removes the profile and saved meal records through the account service. Anonymous analytics remains anonymous and is not linked to the deleted account. You can also clear browser storage to remove local demo state and the anonymous browser ID.

Important limitations

Menu, nutrition, availability, and allergen information can be incomplete or change. Always verify allergens and cross-contact risk with dining staff before eating. CampusMacro is not medical advice and is not a substitute for professional care.

Policy changes

This policy may be updated as the MVP changes. The effective date shown with this page identifies the current version.
